Vega, the global educator climbing and practicing outdoor education

“Although I deeply love oceans, deserts, and other wild landscapes, it is only mountains that beckon me with that sort of painful magnetic pull to walk deeper and deeper into their beauty. They keep me continuously wanting to know more, feel more, see more.”

- VICTORIA ERICKSON

About Vega López

Hey, I am Vega!

I was born and raised in a small town in the middle of wheat fields in Salamanca, Spain, where I spent my childhood exploring nature, doing crafts and baking with my brother, and spending time with my grandparents. However, as I started traveling and moving around Spain, I discovered the beauty of the world and haven't stopped exploring since.

From an early age, I've been independent and a rebel, always questioning the world around me and dreaming of a better society. That's why I studied education with the goal of making a positive change in a system I didn't believe in. Now, I've seen that change can be a reality and I continue to learn every day how to make it happen.

Besides education, my passions include nature and outdoor sports, such as hiking, camping, climbing, surfing, and kayaking. I live by the Norwegian term "Friluftsliv," which means finding inner peace through nature. I also have a campervan, Frida, which represents my values of simplicity, freedom, adventure, curiosity, and connection. Additionally, I love cooking new recipes, learning about an enormous variety of topics, and practicing minimalism.
